Today I have an amazing snack recipe for you! Spicy chickpeas! This is really is a favorite for me. It is for the salty fix you crave. They taste better than chips and are definitely healthier. They are protein and fiber packed so it will keep you full until the next meal.
The best thing about this snack is its so easy to make and they are a perfect when you are on the go.
1 can of chickpeas (garbanzo beans)
1 teaspoon olive oil
1 teaspoon (to taste) salt
1 teaspoon (to taste) Tony Chachere’s Creole Seasoning
Preheat oven to 425
Drain the chickpeas and pat with paper towel to ensure all liquid is absorbed.
Put chickpeas on cookie sheet and cook for 10 min.
Take the chickpeas out of oven and put in large bowl. Add olive oil, creole seasoning and salt. Shake it up!
Put back on the cookie sheet and bake for another 10 minutes.
Note: I love the spicy taste the creole seasoning gives it, but you can use any seasoning you like! You can try cinnamon if you want a sweeter snack.
