Okay, I love Pinterest! It is such a great place to get fashion inspiration and any d.i.y. project you could ever dream of. I love getting ideas for holiday decorations and gifts, and I have also found some great recipes.
Today I want to review a few healthy recipes that I have seen floating around pintrest with so you can decide if you want to spend your time and money on them.
Banana Based Pancakes
This recipe only calls for three ingredients, a banana, an egg and blueberries. It is extremely easy and they are so tasty! I was skeptical about this and thought it would taste like a burnt mashed up banana, but I was wrong! It tasted like an actual banana flavored pancake. They make about three or four pancakes and there is so much you can do to spice them up. Add peanut butter or chocolate chips, whatever your taste buds desire. The only downside is they are hard to flip, but even if they are a little messy the pancakes are delish.

Peanut butter oat banana breakfast cookies
These banana and peanut butter based cookies are egg and flour free. They call for protein powder so the cookies are filling and do your muscles some good.
I personally did not like them at all. I read reviews on the website and there were many who loved them, but it was not my cup of tea.
They were easy to make, but there were a fair amount of ingredients the recipe called for. Most of the ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen, or would be easy to find at your local market (i.e. bananas, peanut butter, quick oats).
They tasted really bland to me and the banana flavor was really strong and I couldn’t even taste the peanut butter. You can cook them from anywhere to 15- 25 minutes depending on how chewy or crunchy you want them.
If you are expecting them to taste like cookies you will be disappointed. Some people compared them to protein bars. To me they tasted like bland granola bars. They have potential, but not my favorite.

This simple smoothie recipe is filling and easy to make. There are only a few ingredients involved and it makes for a healthy breakfast, lunch or after workout snack.

Frozen peanut butter banana bites
These yummy little morsels are a great alternative to a less healthy snack or dessert. With only three ingredients this recipe is easy as pie and tastes just as good. Bananas, Greek yogurt and peanut butter is all you need. They are filling and I promise you won’t miss your late night ice cream indulgence with this one.

The next one is a bonus and definitely not considered a ‘healthy’ dessert, but it is such a great treat for Valentine’s Day and extremely easy. Plus, they are small so you can still watch your calorie intake with them. I made them last year and Charlie and I ate them up within days.

These are so good! I love them and it’s another 3fer- only three ingredients. All you need is pretzels, kisses and M&M’s. It is the perfect little treat to give your Childs teachers, neighbors or co- workers.
